To protect the properties of your cast iron product and prevent rusting, it is important to remove any baking residue on your product immediately after use with warm/hot water. You can then wipe off the residue with a cloth or absorbent paper. Do not use detergent to clean your cast-iron product. It is also important not to soak cast iron or put it in the dishwasher.
To keep your cast-iron products in good quality, we recommend seasoning them! You can do this with the YAKINIKU® cast iron seasoning kit. This kit consists of 2 products to clean and protect your cast iron.
First, free your cast iron product of residue and rust with the coarse sea salt. You do this in combination with half a potato or a damp cloth. Afterwards, simply rinse away the salt and residue. To season, place the cast-iron product in the Kamado heated to 230°C and sprinkle generously with lemon powder. Leave for half an hour. The powder will melt and create a protective layer on your cast iron product. Repeat this process 2 or 3 times and your cast iron product will be ready for use again!
