On the kamado you can choose to place certain dishes, such as vegetables, directly on top of your coals for a real direct preparation. In addition, you can of course also prepare indirectly by placing a grid above your coals. With the help of the Multilevel Lift you can determine the distance between your coal and the grid yourself. In addition to these options, you can of course also prepare indirectly, such as with a pizza or nachos. For this you use the multilevel lift in combination with the heat deflector. By using the heat deflector you create a furnace, as it were, so that the heat of the coals does not go directly from the bottom to the top, but circulates evenly along the sides of the deflector upwards, through the round dome.
